Tao Moheng, born in Dalian, China in 1949, is currently vice chairman of the cross strait calligraphy and Painting Artists Association, President of the world art center Dunhuang Feitian art and Painting Institute, and member of the Chinese Folk Artists Association.
二十世纪八十年代初，为探索博大精深的中国传统艺术，四处写生采风，足迹遍及大江南北及少数民族地区，其中曾三次奔赴敦煌考察学习，长达五年之久。为探求更高的艺术境界，他努力研习中国古典文学，儒、释、道，唐宋诗词，中国书法和篆刻，将所学到的有机融合，以敦煌为题材，中国水墨为基础，历时十余载，成功地创造出中国绘画新画派——水墨飞天画派。
In the early 1980s, in order to explore the extensive and profound traditional Chinese art, he went to Dunhuang three times to study for five years. In order to explore a higher artistic realm, he made great efforts to study Chinese classical literature, Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, poetry of Tang and Song Dynasties, Chinese calligraphy and seal cutting, organically integrating what he learned, taking Dunhuang as the theme and Chinese ink as the basis, and lasting for more than ten years, he successfully created a new school of Chinese painting, ink flying painting school.

飞天仕女的衣带，飘逸流畅，一笔成形。以独创的“没骨法”构造飞天仕女丰腴圆润的躯体，以泼墨和彩技法渲染华美的衣裙，以狂草飘逸的笔触勾勒飞舞的飘带，使其作品构图华美俊逸，精气神饱满奔放。
