民国元年4月，四川成都造币厂奉四川军政府之命，开模铸造“军政府造四川铜币”。文中图片的钱币，一面铸有铭文，顶部铸“军政府造”，币中心铸文“四川铜币”，左右饰以花星纹饰。另一面也有精美图文，背面中央大圆圈内为一篆书“汉”字，“汉”字底有数十条横直纹，因而钱币收藏者也称之为“汉”字铜元。
